Gabriel Burrafato was Born in Buenos Aires Argentina, of full blooded Sicilian descent. He has performed starring roles on Broadway, Las Vegas and Broadway National Tours across North America. He began his career as an apprentice at the prestigious Shaw Festival. He has studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music and has worked with internationally renowned composers A.R. Rahman (two time academy award winner for “Slum Dog Millionaire”) and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as many of the top musical directors of Broadway and the Music Recording industry.
Gabriel is a founding member of the singing group Bell'Aria under the famed Record Label EMI/Capitol Records, where he recorded his debut album, "Little Italy:Bell'Aria". His televised concert "Live from the Venetian in Las Vegas" has aired in over 350 PBS stations across North America.
Gabriel made his Broadway debut in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams, where he performed the role of Vikram. He also starred as Lancelot in the Broadway National Tour of Camelot and Magaldi in the Broadway National tour of Evita (25th Anniversary Harold Prince Revival). Gabriel also had the honor of originating the role of the elf archer Legolas in the world premier of The Lord of The Rings. This $27-million production is considered one of the worlds most expensive and elaborate staged production ever made. Gabriel also performed the role of Lun Tha in the world renowned Stratford Festival's production of The King and I.
